Otter escape!

Oh my, I couldn't have asked for a better escape from the madness in DC surrounding the recent insurrection (gheez, never thought I'd be writing that in my photo blog), upcoming inauguration and what not.  Greeted by a river otter!  It was so gracious to pose for the passerbys in nearby Huntley Meadows park in Northern Virginia.  I'm still smiling.

A few weeks ago, watched the sun go down at Huntley Meadows in Alexandria, VA.

And back to Huntley Meadows this past weekend where I enjoyed fall's reflections in its wetlands.

For 2014, I made only a few simple new year's resolutions, one of which is WALK MORE.  Notwithstanding the cold temperatures, I did just that this past weekend.  Two days, two parks in fairfax county, virginia, nearly 15 miles done, and feet only a little worse for the wear.  Happy to be out walking in the snow.
