St. Pete escape
Last month, an escape from the cold and from everything to St. Petersburg, Florida. I visited with my cousin and her son, walked and photographed the beach for sunrise and for sunset, and enjoyed the Dali museum and its Frida Kahlo exhibit. The escape was much needed, much appreciated, and I already need another one!

And back to Huntley Meadows this past weekend where I enjoyed fall's reflections in its wetlands.

sunset adventure hike

Heading back down from the ridge through the woods in the dark was a fun adventure.
And the evening ended with the not-yet-full moon, serene as it was rising in the sky.

sunrise, sunset

my little camera, my trusty point and shoot, broke after 5 1/2 years of hard wear and tear. In tribute to it, a few shots from washington area's favorite rock scrambling mountain, old rag, taken from my little canon powershot four years ago.
