Rock Creek Park Redux

A few weeks ago, had a beautiful end to a relaxing Thanksgiving week - another hike in a different part of Rock Creek Park.

Although today's wind may have blown down all the leaves, last weekend Rock Creek Park still had some beautiful color left.  Always thankful to have such a beautiful spot so nearby.

With life becoming more and more surreal with stay-at-home orders effective last week, I've been trying to maintain some semblance of sanity by walking every day.  Since Tuesday, it's been just me and my phone.  (The prior Sat., Sun. & Mon. were each with a friend at an appropriate social distance away.)  Tweaked my neck last week so didn't feel like lugging my big camera, so here's eight days of wandering as seen from my Samsung.

Fall in Rock Creek Park

Last I posted it was summer, and now it's almost winter.  Rock Creek Park is practically my backyard and I'm always glad to get out and hike in it especially during the fall.

While New York and New England got dumped on by up to several feet of snow, so far we've only had a few dustings.  But those dustings made for a magical wintry walk through Rock Creek Park a few weeks ago.  I hope we get more...
